- New features as of November 2009:
-
- Added search term searches -- you can now search for the airpark using
a search term, which will be matched against airpark name, airport designator,
city, or town.
- Added update form: you can submit updates to an airpark rather than
having to resubmit the airpark. Please note that the updates follow the
same review process as new airparks.
- Added a "turing" or "captcha" test to all forms
for the list to eliminate form spam -- which will help us be faster to
add list submissions.
- New features as of March 2001:
-
- Much faster page generation -- completely re-programmed using new web
tools and new database.
- More information is being stored, such as Latitude/Longitude, runway
length, etc. which will help with future search capabilities.
- A new form for adding comments is now provided, which is available from
the comments icon link.
Residential Airpark Weblist Crib Notes:
- CAVEAT EMPTOR: We depend on Internet Citizens to submit
residential airparks for this list and cannot guarantee its accuracy
or authenticity. If you find an error or omission in the list, please
let us know using the update form for that airpark.
|
- The list page is produced dynamically from our database, based on
your selection.
|
- Currently the selection is by
- State in the USA, plus a selection for RA's outside the USA.
- Text search: search words will be matched against the airpark
name, airport designator, city and town.
- All: the entire list
|
- Each Airpark is listed by state, then closest major city. We try
to use major metropolitan areas for the closest major city, so that
people who are not familiar with the area will have a better idea of
its location. The "town" is the mailing address for
residents of the airpark..
For instance, Cross-Country Estates is near Austin Texas, and
residents have a Georgetown Texas address, so the nearest major city
is Austin, and the town is Georgetown.
|
- If the airpark is listed in the HPT Aero Illustrated
Guidebooks, there will be a link icon associated with the
airpark that will link to the appropriate edition, East or
Southwest.
|
|
- If the residential airpark has an AIRPARKS.COM listing, it will
have an AIRPARKS.COM taildragger icon linked to their website.
|
|
- If an airpark has comments available, the icon to the right will
be displayed. The icon is a link that will display the comments for
that airpark.
|
 |
- If an airpark does NOT have comments, the icon to the right will be
displayed -- note it shows a blank page. This icon will take you to
a form where you can add a comment for that airpark. Please note that
comments are for providing information to prospective residents to help
them get a feel for the airpark. Comments submitted that are advertising
will be silently discarded -- if you would like to advertise on AIRPARKS.COM
please see our Services
page to place your order.
|
 |
- If the airpark has an airport designator, the designator will be listed,
and it will be a link to the airport information for that airpark in
Paulo Santo's excellent
website
|
- Private/Public/Commercial:
- Private
- indicates there are no facilities other than those for
residents -- it is strictly a residential airpark.
- Public
- indicates that there are public facilities which may include
hangars, fuel, etc. which are available to non-residents.
- Commercial
- indicates that the airport is primarily a commercial use or
municipal airport that has a through-the-fence residential
section.
|
- Numbers of lots and houses is differentiated by whether they
have direct or taxiway access to the runway, and those that do not
have access. For instance: 10/0 means 10 with access, and none
without.
|
- Utility companies are listed for Electric, Phone, Gas and Water.
An entry has been added for Internet access -- high-speed internet
access should be listed here, such as DSL, Cable, etc.
